A BIT OF DESPERATION...

Hello dear brothers and friends!

Perhaps the first reason for this title is the complete absence of time to write as much as I´d like to... I've been meaning to write "one new post a week", but it´s been quite hard!

Good news is, the M.E. has contacted me and antecipated that I´m going to be invested as SW! which I believe puts me just on the right track for 2018!

As I am going to be out of my chair for a considerable amout of time, I´ve volunteered to be an "ad hoc" organist during the instalation (apart from the inner works, of course... as I´m not a P.M. yet!) . I´ve tried to prepare two major numbers to be played: Ravel´s bolero and Carl Orff´s O fortuna from Carmina Burana, the only problem is, installation is the day after tomorrow, and neither songs are entirely under my fingers...

I still have all my masonic repertoire, and a number of improvisation pieces that I use for processions and all, but I have to confess, over a year away from the Organist´s bench has brought butterflies into my stomach with the thought of playing in such a special occasion...

I´ll try and find some time tomorrow to review the pieces I want to play...

After saturday, the game will be on... and I´ll have to manage my time to have installation ceremony memorised within 12 months!

Hope to write to you all again soon! Cheerio!
